Shared Cameras & Streams

Shared Streams enable you to share a Camera, Stream or Output stream generated by Stream WebRTC and Stream RTSP outside of the Lumeo console.

This lets you securely embed live video streams in your own Dashboards (using IFrames) or share stream URLs via email or other channels while maintaining security by manually or automatically expiring them after a set interval.

Create a Shared Stream

To Create a Shared Stream, head over to the Camera, Stream or Deployment detail view in the Console. Click on the Shared Streams tab and use the Create Shared Stream button to create a new shared stream.

Alternatively, you can also use the Create Shared Stream button in the global dropdown menu in the Console.

Next, choose the specific stream to Share, give it a name and set the Expiration time.

Set name, expiration and select stream to share.

Set name, expiration and select stream to share.

This will give you the Shared Stream URL that you can copy or embed as an Iframe. Note that the URL will not be available after you navigate away from this screen for security purposes.

Delete a Shared stream

Shared stream URLs automatically expire based on the expiration duration set during creation. If you want to delete it sooner, or if the URL was set to not expire, you can manually delete the Shared stream by navigating to the appropriate Camera / Stream or Deployment and using the Delete button next to the stream name.
